Crate & Barrel and some Apples

Whenever I visit my sister, I always try to work in a visit to Crate & Barrel because we don't have one where I live. 

... no Crate & Barrel, no Pottery Barn and no Pottery Barn Kids * sigh*  I could hang out in these stores for hours, I'm telling ya!  

So, this past Monday we took some time to check out Crate & Barrel.  Full of bright, vibrant spring colors and shelves full of outdoor entertaining ideas was a sight for sore eyes seeing as though back home we are still knee deep in snow!

I am in LOVE with these:

And colorful pillows and rugs that could beautify any space:

I enjoy color a lot, but deep down I'll always a fan of white:

I'd love to have these grass centerpieces - three of them lined up along the middle of the dining room table - beautifully rustic!

Oh, when I saw these apples I was in love. Seriously! And I don't like fake flowers or fruit!  So, I bought five of them. Yup, five.  Can't say as though my husband was as excited about my purchase, but I just couldn't help myself - they looked SO real!  They are even a little lopsided which adds to their "real" factor.

We ran into one of my sister's friends further down in the mall, a friend who just happened to have a green apple for a snack, so I snapped a picture.  Which one is the real one?

My three year old cried this morning after he asked for an apple as part of his breakfast and I told him he couldn't have one.  It took some convincing on my part to assure him that they were, indeed, fake.  Poor little guy, I'll have to get him a real green apple tomorrow ...
